About me

Learn Yoga with Grace

I started my yoga journey as a teenager, and yoga has been my passion from a young age. Originally a chemical engineer, I also did Management studies in international finance. 

I made my hobby and passion into my profession in 2016. I am a yoga alliance certified teacher. I have lived in many places, completed many training courses, and practiced in different places around the world.


Yoga is a way of living more efficiently and finding full potential in our body, mind, and intellect. 


Apart from various advance teacher training courses, yoga therapy course helps me to understand and learn the needs of people who have certain limitations. I have done pranayama, meditation, and mindfulness certification courses because I feel that yoga is more than just physical exercise and movement. Its ultimate aim is meditation and mindfulness and live a life with perfect balance, cultivating a strong and healthy mind to explore its limitless power. I am deeply influenced by the Iyenger yoga teaching techniques and I am a member of Iyenger yoga association Hong Kong and I have done their few courses. 

I have been teaching from last 8 years. 
I have an advanced asana practice which enables me to have clear knowledge of all postures and understand how to prevent injuries. 


I have been teaching students from various age groups, old, young adults, children and people having various ailments and injuries. 


Giving back to society is always a main purpose of my life. As a part of community projects I have worked for cancer patients and pain patients from hospitals. I have consistently worked with financially deprived students like domestic helpers regularly. 


My asana teaching style is based on hatha yoga, mindfulness breath work and alignment techniques. 


I like to break down the practice into easy steps which are alignment focused to learn right action of muscle to achieve expansion and extension through proper breathing and awareness.


Understanding the limitations and strength of each student, I plan the practise to bring out maximum result and deepen the inner experience of the student. 


I motivate students to learn and understand their own body and mind through their practise, so they develop love for yoga practise and mindfulness. My aim is to make them independent and knowledgeable of the practice. 


I try to instil in students that Asana is a tool to first understand our gross body and then we get a glimpse of our energy body as we breathe in our asanas. This helps them to further understand subtle layers of our existence like mind and intellect.

Ahimsa nonviolence

I believe in a balanced practice which has holistic aim to heal body, strengthen mind and intellect so that we don't do any violence with our body and learn to be respectful to our body as it is temple of the truth within us .

Awareness and mindfulness

The whole purpose of yoga is action in awareness. To develop this awareness alertness at all levels of our existence gross body, pranamaya i.e energy body, manomaya i.e mind body and intellectual that is vigyanamsya body is the final aim. 

Acceptance

Self acceptance and acceptance of any situation is the first step for change, improvement and positive mindset.. Through awareness and self study acceptance becomes easy. 

Empower

A real yoga practise will empower us to achieve the real goal off life which is self realisation. We will learn the art and skill of meditation developing mental and physical health for a balanced and positive happy life with a higher goal. It helps us to remove suffering in every walk of life giving us a sense  of freedom.
